Do I need to own a firearm to attend class?

Accepted Answer

No. Between the instructors, there are plenty for you to borrow and let you decide what is right for you. The last thing we want is for you to go out and buy a gun you do not like. The only time you are required to bring a gun to class is the advanced pistol or carbine classes.

How do I pay?

Can I attend class even though I am not an Illinois resident?

Accepted Answer

Yes! All are welcome to attend. To obtain a non-residient Illinois Concealed Carry Permit you must submit with your applicaiton an affidavit stating that you would qualify for a FOID or CCW permit in your state of residence.

Am I going to get yelled at in class?

Absolutly not! Many people associate Veteran-ran businesses as being militant in nature, but this not true! We see students from all walks of life and skill levels. We at Flagship Defense Group strive to make all feel welcome and provide a safe learning atmosphere.

Our staff all come from military or law enforcement background, with special experience in counter-terrorism operations abroad. We know how it feels to draw a weapon in a defensive situation, and the mindset that one must adopt when you decide to carry a firearm for self-protection.

Can I bring my AK-47 to your carbine course?

Yes, our instructors are well-trained in kalashnikov-style varients and are prepared to apply all concepts to your particular rifle.
